Education Bureau Launches Healthy Living, Happy Family Series – Thrive Party for Kids and Families
The Education Bureau (EDB) has launched the Healthy Living, Happy Family Series – Thrive Party for Kids and Families, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle for parents and children. The event was kicked off by Under Secretary for Education, Mr Sze Chun-fai, along with ambassadors of the Positive Parent Campaign, Mommy Light and Daddy Light.
The series includes three events of the Thrive Party for Kids and Families, held in May and June, which encourage parents and children to develop healthy habits together. Activities such as parent-child relay races, yoga sessions, workshops, and games are organized to foster a positive parent-child relationship and enhance well-being.
Mr Sze emphasized the importance of parents maintaining their own well-being to create a safe and loving environment for children to grow up in. The Thrive Party for Kids and Families offers a variety of engaging activities including fun day camps, workout stations, maze playgrounds, and storytelling workshops.
The first event took place at Central Market, with upcoming events scheduled at Tseung Kwan O Plaza and Tsuen Wan Citywalk in June. The activities are free of charge, with limited quotas for some activities requiring pre-registration. Parents can visit the event website for registration details.
The EDB has been actively promoting positive parenting since 2020, organizing various activities to educate parents on nurturing children. For more information on the Positive Parent Campaign, visit the Smart Parent Net website or follow their social media pages.
Overall, the Healthy Living, Happy Family Series – Thrive Party for Kids and Families aims to encourage families to develop healthy habits together and strengthen their relationships through fun and engaging activities.
