American Airlines recently updated their drink choices.

American Airlines Makes Game-Changing Upgrade to Drink and Meal Options for Travelers

American Airlines has just made a game-changing upgrade to their drink menu that will benefit dairy-free coffee drinkers. The airline now offers oat milk creamer as a dairy-free alternative for passengers ordering coffee in flight or bringing their own. This new oat milk creamer comes in a convenient stick packaging, making it easy to store or add to your coffee on the go. This addition caters to plant-based, dairy-free, nut-free, and oat milk fans alike.

For the millions of Americans impacted by lactose intolerance or those following plant-based diets, this new dairy-free option is a welcome change. Almond milk can pose problems for those with nut allergies, so the decision to offer oat milk creamer shows consideration for a variety of dietary needs.

In addition to the new creamer, American Airlines has also upgraded their food options to include vegan, kosher, lactose-free, and gluten-free meals. These new meal choices prioritize seasonal ingredients and flavors, providing passengers with more allergy-friendly and dietary-restriction-friendly options.

While the specialty meals are currently only available on select flights for premium cabin members to order onboard, passengers in all cabins can now preorder these meals 24 hours in advance online or through the app. What’s more, all food offerings are reviewed by a registered dietitian to ensure expert-approved nutrition, aligning with EatingWell’s own standards.

From the addition of oat milk creamer to the expansion of allergy-friendly food options, these changes at no extra cost to the customer demonstrate American Airlines’ commitment to accommodating a diverse range of dietary preferences and needs for their passengers.
