Saracens Rugby Club Launches Ultimate Office Fitness Guide to Combat Sedentary Lifestyles
The Saracens Rugby Club has come to the rescue of office workers everywhere with their new Ultimate Office Fitness Guide. In a world full of lipsticks and mascaras, the sight of muscly men in tight shorts is a welcome change. The guide, launched alongside new research by Sanlam Private Investments, aims to combat the alarming statistic that we spend five years of our lives glued to our desks.
Featuring quick 15 and 30-minute exercise routines, as well as weekend workouts, the guide is designed to help even the most desk-bound individuals incorporate exercise into their daily routine. Created by Saracens Strength and Conditioning Coach, Andy Edwards, each exercise is endorsed by a star trainer.
According to Andy, “We’ve tried to make it easy for even the most desk-bound person to do something. You can achieve a lot in a concentrated 15 minutes, and committing to daily exercise can make all the difference.” With nearly half of office workers doing less than an hour of exercise a week, the hope is that this guide will inspire more people to prioritize their health.
Saracens and England star Owen Farrell emphasizes the importance of making small sacrifices for long-term benefits. “Sacrificing half an hour of television to go for a run a few times a week can make a significant difference in how you feel,” he says.
The guide features a variety of workouts targeting different muscle groups, from upper body exercises like bodyweight dips and desk pull-ups to cardio workouts like upright rows and inverted rows. Leg exercises like squats and calf raises are also included, offering a well-rounded fitness regimen for office workers looking to stay active.
So if you find yourself stuck in front of a computer for most of the day, why not give the Ultimate Office Fitness Guide a try? With exercises that can be done right at your desk, there’s no excuse not to prioritize your health and well-being. Say goodbye to sedentary lifestyles and hello to a healthier, more active you!
