Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Embraces Yoga on International Day of Yoga

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm and participation from various sectors of society. District collector Deelip Swami emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into our daily lives for achieving excellent, balanced, and healthy well-being at an event held at the Divisional Sports Complex on Friday.

The event was attended by prominent figures such as MP Dr. Bhagwat Karad, additional district collector Dr. Arvind Lokhande, and resident deputy collector Vinod Khirodkar. Students from local schools demonstrated yoga practices, and dignitaries and attendees joined in on the exercises. Patanjali Yoga Samiti and the District Yoga Association were instrumental in organizing the event, with support from the District Sports Office’s staff.

In another part of the city, an event was organized at Bibi Ka Maqbara by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI, Aurangabad Circle) and India Tourism (Aurangabad). Yoga instructors from the local chapter of ‘Art of Living’ provided information on yoga practices and meditation, following the ‘Common Yoga Protocol.’ The event was well-attended by officials, students, tourism stakeholders, and tourists, highlighting the importance of yoga in promoting wellness and tourism.

The Postmaster General’s office also joined in the celebrations, with yoga instructor Kavita Tak leading a session for the officers and staff. The session emphasized the benefits of yoga for both the mind and body, promoting a holistic approach to well-being.

Overall, the International Day of Yoga was a success in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, bringing together different segments of society to promote health, wellness, and the practice of yoga as a lifestyle.
