Habuild’s 21-Day Online Yoga Challenge Draws Participants from 92 Countries
A wellness startup, Habuild, took the initiative to help people stick to their wellness goals by organizing a 21-day online yoga challenge in January. The event saw an overwhelming response from over 4.5 lakh users across 92 countries.
The challenge, which took place from January 2 to 22, aimed to inspire individuals to incorporate physical activity into their daily routine and not give up on their resolutions. Participants engaged in various yoga exercises and asanas from the comfort of their homes, starting as early as 6:30 am and going on until 7 pm.
On January 12, the event made history by setting a Guinness World Record for the highest number of yoga participants in a single session, marking the day known as Quitters Day when many individuals abandon their resolutions.
Co-founder of Habuild, Saurabh Bothra, emphasized the importance of health in people’s lives and the struggle to maintain a consistent fitness routine. The platform was created to address this common challenge and motivate individuals to prioritize their well-being.
Habuild, based in Nagpur, focuses on promoting physical and mental well-being through activities like yoga, meditation, and Zumba. The platform operates through WhatsApp, offering personalized support in adopting healthy habits and lifestyle choices.
Bothra, an IIT alumni, shared how his passion for teaching yoga to friends eventually led to the creation of a platform that now motivates thousands of people to prioritize exercise and self-care.
Through community-based programs and personalized guidance, Habuild encourages users to practice yoga daily, adopt healthier eating habits, and engage in mindfulness practices. The startup’s approach is to make fitness accessible and enjoyable, ensuring that users can maintain a routine without feeling overwhelmed or discouraged.
With a growing user base of over 2 million members globally, Habuild has seen significant traction in Tier II and III cities and rural areas. The platform’s affordable membership plans and user-friendly interface have contributed to its success in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Looking ahead, Habuild plans to expand its offerings to include yoga programs for children and targeted initiatives for specific health conditions like diabetes and PCOD. As the Indian health and fitness market continues to grow, Habuild aims to empower more individuals to prioritize their well-being and cultivate lifelong habits that enhance their overall quality of life.
