Designed as a 1,200-calorie diet consisting of low-carb, low-fat, high-protein, and high-fiber foods, the Dr. Now Diet aims to assist individuals in losing weight before undergoing bariatric surgery. Research has suggested that pre-surgery weight loss, even just 5% of body fat, may lead to better postoperative outcomes and decrease risks associated with the procedure.
