Tips for Staying Safe and Healthy While Exercising Outdoors in the Summer
As summer temperatures rise, it’s important to stay safe while enjoying outdoor activities. Whether you’re running, walking, hiking, or cycling, taking precautions to protect yourself from the heat can make a big difference. Here are some tips to help you stay safe and healthy while being active outdoors this summer:
1. Stay hydrated: Make sure to prioritize hydration by drinking plenty of water infused with electrolytes to replenish minerals lost through sweat. Consider swapping water for a sports drink to keep your body properly hydrated, especially on hot days.
2. Dress accordingly: Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing made of moisture-wicking material to help regulate your body temperature and prevent overheating. Don’t forget to wear a hat and sunglasses to protect your face and eyes from the sun.
